Our Mission: Here at BFA, we strive to provide our customers with luxurious bath products that are nourishing to both the body and soul. You will find that our soap is made with only the finest herbs, botanicals, and essential oils and each bar of soap is accompanied by an inspirational verse on the label.

Founded in 2009, Botanicals From Above is a family owned and focused home based soap crafting business located in 'Colorful' Colorado, east of the beautiful Rocky Mountains.

The founders of Botanicals From Above are sisters who grew up in Ontario, Canada.  Although now separated by many miles between Colorado and Ontario, Kristy & Katie share a passion to bring you natural bath and body products that are not only great for your skin, but are great for your spirit as well!  Invigorating Orange, relaxing Lavender, and wake-you-up Peppermint are sure to please! The inspiring scriptural quotes send a little message from above.  

The story began when Kristy decided that she wanted a better bath product for her family, and then to share with her friends.  Kristy's family has had to deal with various allergic conditions that were aggravated by commercial bath and beauty products.  One thing lead to another, and soon she and Katie had created many wonderful ideas for the soon-to-be family business, Botanicals From Above. Kristy and Katie continue to collaborate on a daily basis about new ideas and improvements to their line.  

Kristy leads the family in Colorado in artfully creating these natural and uplifting products. Her husband enjoys assisting with recipes and trying out the latest bath bars. Kristy's 3 boys like to get their hands dirty (or clean!) in the soap making whenever safe and possible!  Kristy is also the owner of The Sweet Embrace, and is a a birth doula professional and lactation consultant currently in the certification process.

Katie heads up the marketing, website maintenance, customer relations and is the beauty and brains behind Botanicals From Above. Katie recently graduated from York University with her Bachelors Degree in Communication Studies and Anthropology; she is now studying Website Creation & Design at Durham College and brings fresh ideas and a contemporary flair to our company. Her current favorite BFA product is the Grapefruit Meringue in the Signature Soap Collection! Please contact her with any comments or suggestions to improve our website.
